Brandy or Rum Butter - For Christmas Pudding (British), Mince Pies, and Steamed Puddings. This is similar to the American hard sauce. Cream ½ C. (1 stick) butter with 4 T. powdered sugar. Add 4 T. of rum or brandy OR 1-2 tsp. of Rum or brandy flavoring and 3 T water. Hint: for this to work the butter has to be softened and the ingregiants whipped at high speed, then chilled. Serve with Mince pie or steamed puddings
