HAITIAN LIMEADE

Boil 1 cup of brown sugar with 1 cup of water until grains dissolve. Squeeze 7 key limes or 3 regular limes into quart pitcher and add 3 cups of water and the sugar water. Add a pinch of salt and 1/2 tsp. of real vanilla extract. Serve over ice or cool. Makes one quart.
